The Wandering Volhynians Hippie Dude

Background

The Wandering Volhynians (vo - lee - nee - ens) are an original alt-country folk rock band, based out of Calgary Alberta Canada.

A spectrum of styles shine through their catchy songs.

Where does the name come from? Volhynia was a province located on the border of Russia and Poland. During the world wars the Volhynians were driven from their homes and farms. They wandered and journeyed on horse and wagon during the bitter cold winter, in the middle of war, singing and writing songs to keep their spirits up.

The Wandering Volhynians are a versatile band, and are also available for cover/bar gigs, weddings, and any special occasion.
